Out of The Box
The “Seed of Hope” brief is a hipster style brief and comes to the testing range sized as an extra-large and is a shade of blue with contrasting grey piping. The main fabric is made from a blended material of 95% Organic cotton and 5% spandex. The brief is constructed with multiple sections of this fabric which included:
- 1 – piece of fabric to from the rear seat section that covers the behind.
- 4 – pieces to make the sides around the top of the hips to the pouch section. There are 2 separate sections used to form each side.
- 4 – pieces to make the 2 section pouch. (Double layered).
There is a mix of flat style stitching used to combine the sections to form the underwear’s brief style. It appears there is also a strip of elastic material sewn inside each seam. Most of the fabrics sections edges are bordered with a contrasting color fabric covered inseam, except for two of the small side sections at the top of the hip.

The Rear
The rear seat has full coverage.
The Waistband
The waistband is a medium thickness elastic knit band about 1.3 inches wide. It has a velvety coating on the inside that rests against the skin. It’s made from one piece of banding material that is sewn in the center rear with a end-to-end stitched seam to complete the loop. The waistband is attached to the outside top of the underwear fabric with multiple lines of stitching.

The Legs
Well since these are briefs, there is no leg length just high on the hip leg openings. They are trimmed out with some of the color contrasting inseams that include the elastic banding.
The Pouch
The pouch is double layered and divided into two sections with a seam down the center to aid in the 3D contoured shape, almost an anatomical shape. The center seam is reversed on each layer so that the stitching is hidden on the outside and not against the skin on the inside. There is a strip of elastic banding inside this seam as well.

Special Features or Area’s of Note
The Organic Cotton is listed to be Eco Friendly. The fabric is a thin weave and is semi see-through when stretched except where double layered. There is no fly access, and the product tag is imprinted on the inside rear of the seat material.
Out On The Range
I have logged in about 66 hours in these briefs. The bulk of hours being at work operating heavy equipment and some working at home, in my shop and at camp property. These briefs have been through at least 5 laundry cycles.

About The Feel and Comfort
The cotton fabric is very soft on the skin and all the important parts is covers. The waistband is soft and smooth with a velvet like lining material on the inside of the waistband that is against the skin. The high hip cut of the legs have an open and free feel. Overall, the underwear feels soft, light, and comfortable under outer clothing.

About The Fit
The seat fabric fits my tush just fine with the coverage. The waistband is a low-rise fit and is snug on the lower waist. The legs holes are a comfortable fit on the legs with no cutting in or binding. The pouch has a snug fit with some lift and will cover and hold the package for most guys. If you’re bigger than normal though it will be a very snug fit. There is a medium bulge effect with the shape of this pouch. Overall, It is form fitting and snug all around. The main thing to keep in mind is this is a brief leans more to a minimal coverage brief in the hipster style.

About The Performance
The cotton fabric used in this brief is somewhat breathable and moisture wicking, it will feel damp at the end of a hot day’s work. With the high hip cut legs and the spandex blend in the material, the brief does provide good movability and flexibility. I experienced no pinching, hair pulling, chaffing or rub points. With no leg coverage, there has been no bunching or ride-up problems. The waistband stayed in place and there has been no rollover. The pouch does provide support for the genitals and keeps them separated from the legs. Overall, this brief performed well under my working conditions and other activities.

About The Quality
The stitching and seam work on these briefs are of very good quality. I have found no loose threads or stressed seams. There is some minor pilling of the fabric at a few of the usual friction points at the front of the pouch in on the seat. I do not detect any color fade of the fabric. The entire underwear has retained its original shape.

About the Design and Construction
I found the shape and cut of this brief a very nice wear with the open legs and the hipster coverage. A cotton-based fabric that is planet friendly is always a good choice. The waistband design is very nice with the added touch of the inner band lining. The 3D contoured pouch has a nice shape. I would guess that the added elastic strips in the seam work contributes to the form-fitting design. Overall, a well built and designed hipster brief style.

So What’s The Word
The Seed of Hope brief has proven to be a well performing brief out on the range. It worked well for me on the jobsite and working at home. Not having a long history of wearing briefs, I have enjoyed the minimal coverage and the form fitting style of these briefs. I found them to provide good support while on rough terrain with the equipment or great for the morning run. These come in a 2 pack for $24, well within the affordable range. You can find them at Nukleus online (the site does not show US prices and may not ship to US address at this time) but… Their products can also be purchased through an International store such as Amazon.
Until next time,
