Bulge Envy Thigh Boxer Brief, by McKillop

Say Hello to the Bulge Envy Thigh Boxer from McKillop.

This Boxer brief underwear comes to the testing range with the custom pouch feature by McKillop. The P4-Thick option.

The Thigh Boxer is made from several sections of the Modal/Lycra blended material. Over the edge flat loop stitching is used to merge the sections together. The build starts with what appears as the same pattern as Mckillop’s Amplify Brief. Then, as with the Hoist Boxer Mini, 1 piece of fabric is added to each leg of the basic brief to extend its coverage on the legs. This addition makes the inseam about 4.5-inches and comes to about mid thigh on me. The legs aref bordered at the bottom with folded fabric inseam.

For this underwear, McKillop offers the “Bespoke” custom front pouch of your choice. This one has the P4- Thick option. The P4-Thick pouch is not lined and has no fly access.

The underwear is topped off with McKillop’s 1.5-inch wide plush waistband. The band is one piece and is sewn in the center rear with a strong end-to-end stitch to complete the loop. The band is secured to the fabric with multiple lines of stitching. The product tag is stitched to the rear inside of the waistband and removal doesn’t seem to be an option or recommended. The “McKillop” label is embroidered on the front center of the waistband.

Field Test

The Bulge Envy Thigh Boxer has been on the Testing range at least 5 times and 5 laundry cycles. It has a total of 56 hours of wear. The wear included hours at work operating different types of heavy equipment. It also involved activities not at work, such as working outdoors around home and the camp property.

Review Scores

The fabric McKillop uses is very soft and comfortable on the skin. The fabric is a thin weave and a little see-through when stretched but is very breathable and moisture-wicking. The blended fabric is stretchy and scored a 1.25-inches on the stretch test. This gives it a flexible form-fitting wear. It also allows for great body movement with no pinching or restrictions. The low-rise waistband stays put with out any rollover and is comfortable with the plush finish. The P4 option pouch provides lots of support and separation with ample room for the genitals. This pouch produces a considerable bulge effect to the front. Its design lifts the genitals up and out from the body. This feature helped prevent smashing or squashing while operating equipment on rough terrain. It also prevented any skin-to-skin contact with the legs. Always a plus. I had no problems with pinching or hair pulling, no chaffing or rub points. There was a little ride up in the legs but nothing that required readjustments. Other than a few loose thread ends in the stitching the seam work is secure. No issues with any worn, blemished, or deformities in the fabrics and no color fade. The underwear has retained its original shape.

Overall the Bulge Envy Thigh Boxer scored a Master rating on the testing range. The support and separating pouch features proved to be very helpful for work. Also a very comfortable wear in the hot temps.
