The 0-Line Lift Trunk is the 4th underwear to hit the Range from Rounderbum. It is also another style of underwear that has the [Lift Tech] feature built into the underwear. It is sized as an X-Large which according Rounderbum’s size chart, fits a 38″-40″ waist.

The 0-Line Lift Trunk underwear’s main fabric is made of a blended cotton (93%) and elastane (7%) material. The combo makes for a soft and stretchy material. The underwear is made from multiple sections of this material. 2 rear panels, 2 leg panels, and 2 pouch panels and is sewn with mostly flat lock stitching and some overedge stitching. (Fig 3,4,5) The material is a thin light material with a 2-way stretch.

The waistband is a “Low-rise” style, (Fig 1,2), and is a wide 1.5 inches elastic material that has the Rounderbum “O” emblem embordered on the center front of the waistband. It is attached to the exterior top of the underwear with multi line straight stitching (Fig 3,4,5). There is a product tag attached to the waistband on the inside rear, but it was easily removed. A products tag is also imprinted on the inside rear of the underwear.

The legs on this trunk are a short 1 inch, so I classified them more as a mini trunk. The inseam on the legs is a stitched folding of the underwear material, no banding, which gives the bottoms a loose fit. (Fig1,2)

The pouch on this underwear is made from 2 panels of the cotton/elastane material that is shaped by the cut of the panels and a center stitched seam running down the middle from the waistband to the bottom of the pouch to give it a “U” 3D shape. (Fig 1&4) It is lined with a second layer of the cotton/elastane material and has no fly access.

This underwear is also designed with the [Lift Tech] features as found on other styles from Rounderbum and described in previous post. (Firework’s Brief and Basic Lift Trunk) In addition, it has a stitched seam running down the center in the back of the underwear going from the waistband, between the butt cheeks to the bottom of the pouch. Range Test

I have had the 0-Line Lift Trunk out on the range a least 5 times now. Mostly at work running heavy equipment but once working around the house and hiking in the mountains at the hunting camp digging ramps.

The Range Scores

Fabric

The fabric feels soft and smooth and the added elastane gives it a nice stretch (1.5 inches on the stretch test). (I have added a description of the stretch test on the Terms page) The fabric is thin and may be a little see through when stretched (except for the pouch) and appears to be a sturdy material. The fabric is breathable and moisture wicking to a point. I have not felt any chafing or any wedgies. It has been through the laundry at least 5 times and I haven’t seen any pilling of fading of the material. It does hold its shape and is form fitting in the pouch and seat area, but does wrinkle or bunch in the legs after a long hot day.

Waistband

Again Rounderbum used a nice wide and soft elastic waistband material on this underwear. It feels like a good quality material. The wide material and “low-rise” cut provides a nice snug fit that doesn’t rollover or wrinkle up.

Legs/Straps

The legs on this trunk are very short, about 1 inch, that’s why I classified them as a mini trunk. The inseam on the bottom is a loose fit around the legs so they do ride up when sitting. I didn’t experience any discomfort from this but I could feel them bunching, so they score a little lower here.

Pouch

The 0-Line Lift trunk’s pouch is soft and snug around the guys and keeps them separated form the legs. Its not a large pouch but the design shape and the lift tech straps provide lift and support with no pinching or squashing. Even though the pouch is a snug fit, it does produce a discernible bulge. Overall

Overall the 0-Line Lift Trunk is a very comfortable underwear with its soft and stretchy material. The design shape and added [Lift Tech] features provide a nice supportive wear that moves well with body movements. The quality of the stitching and fabric look to be of good workmanship and durable. I haven’t seem any signs of wear or loose threading. The fabric preforms well in warmer weather but does get damp when temps get above 80 as most cotton does. It’s not a cold weather underwear unless the majority of your time is in a heated environment. So priced a little under $19/pair they aren’t in the cheap range but still less than a lot of others. They would be about $190 to stock a 10 pair drawer, so they are still in the affordable range by my reckoning. Always watch for discounts and sales and I believe they have a 10% off deal if you subscribe to their newsletter.

Again, I can attest that the [Lift Tech] works. The cheeks of the butt are lifted by the straps and the added center seam down the middle of the seat creates some separation to give a little more definition to the rear view. The 0-Line product discerption also claims underwear lines won’t be seen. Well I cant speak to that as I don’t usually wear any tight or clingy clothing to notice such things and no one at work has made any comments.

If your looking for something to give your backside a little lift and definition and want something that is short, light and has support, then these will fit the bill. They have preformed well for me in a working environment and while walking or hiking. I would imagine they would be an excellent wear under shorts or casual wear. The loose legs in combination with cotton material will feel damp and bunch up if you have a lot of seat time on hot humid day, but I doubt you will notice if you spend the majority of the day standing or walking.

You can read more about the [Lift Tech] and other shapeware designs on Rounderbum‘s site. Check out their sizing chart and compare to your body size. At the time of this review, Rounderbum’s underwear only goes up to a size extra large (38-40) waist.
