Hoist Boxer Mini, by McKillop

Here is another submission from Mckillop, the Hoist Boxer Mini. The leg length is very short so I put it in trunk category. Mckillop continues with the modal/lycra blended material as the fabric to make this underwear. This boxer also has the Hoist-Pistol shaping pouch built in.

The mini boxer underwear is constructed from several sections of material. These sections are sewn together to give its shape and function. The design provides full coverage of the buttocks and hips. It extends to just under the butt cheeks at the bottom rear. The leg bottoms come around with a straight cut to the front at the crotch. With only a leg length of about 0.5 inches. It also provides full coverage of the pelvis in the front. The front pouch is Mckillop’s Hoist-pistol design. It’s a design that provides an outward lifting 3-D contoured pouch pocket to carry the genitals. The pouch is not lined and has no fly access. At the top of the underwear is Mckillop’s signature 1.5-inch wide waistband that rides low on the waist in the front.

Field Test

The Hoist Boxer Mini has been out on the testing range at least 5 times for about 66 total hours of wear. Most of the wear was while I was on the job operating several different pieces heavy equipment. Some doing different task around home and my shop. Some while on vacation at Disney enjoying many rides and walking.

Scores

Mckillop’s underwear always feels great and the Hoist Boxer is no exception. Soft and smooth on the skin and the material is thin and light. It also gets high marks for performance with the breathable and moisture wicking. The design and elasticity of the fabric makes for a snug wear that is form-fitting. The low-rise waist and short leg length design adds to this minimalism, for a trunk underwear. The waistband stays put with no problems with rollover. For my work and on Disney rides, I found the Hoist pouch design provided outstanding support for the genitals. It kept them up and out from between the legs especially in a seated position. No squashing or smashing.

The pouch prevents any skin-to-skin contact of the genitals with the legs. I didn’t experience any problems with chaffing, rubbing or binding anywhere. The underwear has retained its out-of-the-box shape with no signs of color fade or material distress. The only note is some uneven fabric edges sticking out of the waistband stitching on the inside. To sum it up, the Hoist Boxer Mini is a great performer at work, for travel or just relaxing around. It earned a Master rating on the range.

Now there is an extreme bulge effect with the Hoist pouch, especially with light outer clothing. If your looking for an outstanding pouch underwear you can grab these direct from Mckillop’s online store for about $21. McKillop products are also available at other retailers and now on Amazon too. Now since I had some delays in my project, my apologies. This exact model may not be available. Mckillop still offers a similar style.

Until next time, Always start the day with a clean fresh pair and be safe out there.
