This boxer brief is made using multiple pieces or sections of the main material that are combined with stitched seams to give it form. The sections consisting of:
- 1 piece for the main body that covers the rear seat and most of the legs to the front where it’s attached to the pouch.
- 1 piece for a 4-inch-wide gusset section that fills in a small portion of the inner legs at the bottom of the pouch and rear seat.
- 3 pieces for the pouch are
- 2 pieces for the bottom or main pouch section (double layered)
- 1 piece for the top fly access flap that is a folded for a double layer.

The legs have 3.5-inch inseam and are hemmed with a fold of the main fabric that has a small strip of elastic material sewn into the fold.
The pouch is a Single, External style that has a 3D Contoured shape. The double layered pouch has a center stitch seam that runs from the bottom of the pouch to about midway to the top for contouring. This seam is in both layers and is reversed so that the stitching is between the layers and not touching the skin. There is also a small strip of elastic material included in all the flat loop seams that attach to the pouch to the other sections. This may also contribute to the 3D contoured shape. The top separate piece of the pouch is the cover flap the is attached to the waistband and sewn on the sides to the main body piece, the bottom is unattached and extends about 3-inches down the inside of the bottom pouch section leaving a Horizontal Slit fly access near the top.

Most of stitching used to connect all the sections are a flat loop style except for the unattached top edge of the main pouch and the contouring center seam in the front of the pouch where a reversed edge stitch is used. All the flat loop seams appear to include a strip of elastic banding sewn in.
The waist band is a Mid Rise style and is Attached External to the underwear body with multiple lines of flat loop stitching. The waistband is 1.5-inches wide and is one continues piece of elastic connected with an end-to-end seam in the center rear to complete the loop around the waist.

The Brand Logo is Attached to the center front of the waistband as an embroidered label stitched around the edges. The Product tag is Imprinted/Stamp on the inside of the main fabric at center rear seat.
The listed country of manufacture is Turkey.

Review and Scoring
Feel:
The micro modal fabric is one of the softest fabrics I have worn against my skin and the softness extends to all parts of the boxer brief. The thin fabric is light and airy on the body. The pouch has a gentle lift and conforms comfortably around the genitals. The elastic waistband has a smooth finish on the inside that is very comfortable on the waist. Overall, the underwear is soft, light and a very comfortable wear.

Fit:
The boxer brief fits my 37-inch waist and body size in accordance with Debriefs sizing guide for a Large. The rear bum fits the cut very well. The leg length rides near the top of thigh more closely to a trunk fit. The leg openings fit well around the legs. The pouch has room for the package with no squeezing and no sagging. The gusset ties things together well in the bottom with no sagging. The waistband fits nice and snug without cutting in. Overall, the boxer brief has a form fitting wear but without a compression feel.

Performance:
The micro modal fabric is very breathable and moisture wicking. The stretchy properties of the fabric allow it to move and flex well with the body. There is a little ride up in the legs, but its minimal and didn’t result in any discomfort or binding. I didn’t experience any pinching or hair pulling. The waistband stayed put with no rollovers. The pouch provided good support and prevented any skin-to-skin contact between the genitals and the legs. There is a medium bulge effect with this pouch. The horizontal fly also allows a one-handed reach in when the urge hits. A well performing underwear overall.

Quality:
The seam and stitch work is clean and even throughout. There is no sign of fabric piling or color fading at this point. I see no imperfections or distortions in the fabric. All the parts of the boxer brief have retained its out of the box shape. Overall, a well-made product.

Design:
The shape and style of the boxer brief is well-designed for performance and function. The fabric is wonderful to have on and it’s made from a renewable resource. Wide sturdy waistbands are never a wrong choice and this one score high with the addition of soft lining on the inside of the band. The leg length, size and inseams are well designed for a muscular build and physical activity. The incorporation of the 3D contoured pouch is a plus in the design. The seam placements and the added strips of elastic in the seams provide a great fitting design. Overall, a nicely designed and constructed boxer brief.

The Word
Even though Debriefs labels these as a “Long Leg” boxer brief it really fits into the style of a trunk with the leg length. The length is just a little longer by 1.5-inches than their labeled trunk version (review coming). This in no way detracts from its performance and functionality. The boxer brief is very well suited for a long day’s work and was very comfortable for me operating heavy equipment. These are a great choice if you’re looking for your underwear to remain comfortable all day and you prefer the full coverage of a boxer brief. They are currently listed at about $27/pair, which is still affordable and Debriefs does offer discounts for first-time orders who subscribe to their newsletter and discounts for bundling multiple items. Of course, I will update this post if they provide me with ant discount or Promo codes. So, go check them out at Shop Debriefs.
